The Warrior Group Introduced
The third episode finished on a major cliffhanger and presented the premier party of characters who will split off from the main group to undertake their own adventure, separate from the additional parties.
The combat-focused team consists of the determined fighter (portrayed by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).
Why Split the Party?
With an extensive roster, it was clear from the start that having everyone at a single group would be impossible.
Hence, the initial installments of this story serve as an Introduction, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three distinct groups: Warriors, Schemers, and Seekers.
The Nature of the Combat Party
According to the DM, the warrior group is for adventurers who enjoy a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven story mode where non-violent answers are rare.
At first glance, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might seem mismatched, but the developments of the third episode make it clear why these five characters are best suited for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
First, the party understands precisely where to proceed after a intense opening clash with The Crow Keepers.
A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose passing initiated the story’s plot—used the enemy for his personal gain, invading the secret base, assaulting Thimble, and swiping all the powerful objects to sell off.
Casimir then settled his liabilities and escaped to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, above the city, with Cyd pursuing him.
Personal Motivations
Secondly, each adventurer has a specific drive to depart the urban setting:
- The rogue, as the companion and trusted friend, seeks vengeance.
- The adventurer is familiar with the northern area and cautions that it is a hostile location.
- The strong character and The healer, having defied his house’s orders to eliminate Teor and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
- However, their reputation as important members in the influential clan could enable the group enter locations they normally couldn’t.
- Moreover, The grateful character vowed a eternal obligation to Wicander for his deliverance and will now go with him anywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
In addition, all of them are sought by the powers that rule Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making remaining behind no longer safe:
- The rogue and The hero are known criminals.
- The warrior and The healer betrayed House Halovar and the army of fiends they are allied with.
- Teor is marked for death by the family.
This leaves them few options but to journey toward Timmony in pursuit of Casimir.
